TracSense is an Oslo-based tech startup that is developing exciting new technology for next-generation cars. The friction between the tires and asphalt are an important parameter in safe operations, especially in cold climates. By applying sophisticated Machine Learning algorithms TracSense wants to bring friction intelligence to all cars on the road. To aid in the development of one of our sensor systems we are looking for a talented ML / Software engineer. Currently we have a full-time position available in our office in Oslo.

The function:

You will have a central role in the development of our ML algorithms. Additionally, you will be contributing to the on-going development of a multi-sensor data acquisitions system and our pre/post-processing methods.

About you:

You have a strong background in Software Engineering; able to write maintainable code and make efficient choices about algorithms, data structures and libraries; experience with refactoring, TDD, and revision control. Additionally, you have a solid ML background; able to design, implement and evaluate efficient ML pipelines and algorithms using e.g. feature engineering and deep neural networks.

Qualifications:

• Minimum MSc in Computer Sciences, or other field that is relevant to the position
• Hands-on programming experience. Preferably in Python or C++, but you are free to work with your language of choice
• Comfortable working with sensor data
• High-level hobby projects within software dev, electronics and ML are strongly valued

By applying sophisticated machine learning algorithms, TracSense envisions to bring friction intelligence to all cars on the road. We are looking for an opto-mechanical engineer to join the development of our optical sensor system. This is a full-time position, based at our office in Oslo.

We would like to hear from you if you have experience in:

• Conceptual design of optical systems
• Manufacturing optical systems using CAD/CAM methods
• Simulate and evaluate optical setups

Qualifications:

• Minimum Bachelor in physics, mechanical engineering or other relevant education
• High-level hobby projects, such as astronomy projects, are strongly valued
• Expierence with object-oriented programming languages is a plus
• Experience with Machine Learning methods is a plus
